We are pleased to announce that our Client, Shared Health, together with Online, has been awarded PMI Manitoba Chapter’s 2022 Project of the Year Award for the Workforce Optimization Project.
We congratulate the entire Shared Health project team who delivered a critical solution during the pandemic. We also want to thank all of the health care workers, from across the 12 sites, who provided invaluable feedback, guidance, and support to make the solution successful.
The solution was one of the key tools to support pandemic response strategies for the Province of Manitoba.
About the Workforce Management Project
In an effort to improve patient flow, resource optimization, and overall engagement across hospitals in the region, Shared Health launched the Workforce Management project in 2019, to centralize staff scheduling systems from 12 hospitals and Personal Care Homes, onto one shared solution.
The project successfully implemented a new centralized solution across all in-scope hospitals, while overcoming obstacles associated with the Covid19 pandemic. More than 18,000 employees now use the solution, which reduces the administrative burden on front-line care managers and allows for a better response to sick time and other staffing gaps. Additionally, the solution also provides improved processes for managing overtime, particularly for employees who work at multiple sites.
