April 28, 2015 – Online Business Systems (Online), a leading business and IT solutions provider, today announced that they received top honours in ServiceNow’s Hackathon competition last week in Las Vegas, NV. ServiceNow, a partner of Online’s since 2012, is a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) provider of Service Management software for the entire enterprise.
A Hackathon competition, where teams are given eight hours to create an application, game, or tool on the ServiceNow platform, is a big attraction at ServiceNow’s annual conference. This year, 300 people registered for this event in the Customer or Partner category. Onliners Dyna Wang and Chais McRae formed a two-person team in the Partner category, which was comprised of ServiceNow partners from across North America.
Just seven hours into the eight-hour competition, Dyna and Chais’s solution was complete. And a few hours later, they were declared the winning team in the Partner category. This highly sought-after award was presented to the Online team by the founders of ServiceNow, Fred Luddy and Pat Casey, in front of 9,000 people at the conference closing keynote session.
John Davis, Director of Online’s Service Management Practice said, “The solution developed by Dyna and Chais is one that our customers in the Service Management space will benefit from right away. It takes away the onus of having developers make User Interface changes, and allows the administrator to take those on without having to be concerned with coding and workflow alterations. We’ve been hearing our customers wishing for this, and now we have the solution.”
