January 23, 2017 – Onliners from our Risk, Security and Privacy (RSP) and Service Management practices attended the Electricity, Distribution, Information Systems and Technology (EDIST) 2017 Conference & Exhibition that took place from Jan. 18-20. EDIST is an educational conference and exhibition that addresses the critical engineering, operational, IT, and management issues faced by Ontario’s Local Distribution Companies. Over 650 people attended the event which took place in Markham, Ontario. Onliners Chris Lincoln, Peter Lee, and Vern Kalsi were at the conference and had the opportunity to share their own insights on the subject of cyber security in the energy sector and learn more about the latest technological advances impacting the industry.

Chris Lincoln, a Principal Consultant within Online’s RSP practice, presented Achieving Cyber Security Objectives through Practical Processes, Practices, and Tooling to a captivated crowd. Chris’s presentation highlighted how organizations can begin to achieve cyber security objectives immediately pending the release of the OEB’s Cyber Security Framework.
